Dear colleagues,

 

The Department of Physics of University of Calabria (Italy) is offering post-doc research position in the framework of the Multi-slit Solar Explorer (MUSE) project.

 

MUSE is a NASA mission that will be devoted to imaging spectroscopy of the solar corona with an unprecedented space and time resolution. The Plasma Astrophysics Group of University of Calabria is involved in the scientific support of Phases B/C of the mission. In particular, the appointed researcher will be involved in numerical simulations of waves in inhomogeneous plasmas, as well as in numerical studies on kinetic mechanisms of dissipation.

 

The duration of the post-doc position is 16 months, probably starting on January-February 2024. The call for the position will appear on November, 2023. The gross salary is Euro 2330.00 per month. Candidates are required to have a Master Degree or PhD in Physics.
