Solar Orbiter a été lancé avec succès le 10 février. A partir du 1er mai 2020, l’ensemble des instruments in-situ fonctionneront nominalement et permettront de sonder le vent solaire entre 1 AU et 0.5 AU du Soleil. Le LPC2E, qui est responsable de la mesure des variations du champ magnétique via l’instrument SCM au sein du consortium RPW, recherche un doctorant et un ingénieur de recherche pour participer à l’exploitation scientifique de la mission et de SCM en particulier.

PhD and Engineer positions on Solar Orbiter at LPC2E

 

Solar Orbiter has been successfully launched on February 10. From May 1, 2020, all in-situ instruments will operate nominally and will be able to probe the solar wind between 1 AU and 0.5 AU from the Sun. LPC2E, which is responsible for the measurements of the magnetic field variations with the RPW/SCM instrument, is recruiting a PhD student and an engineer to participate in the scientific exploitation of the mission and of SCM data in particular.
