Postdoc positions advertisement - ULTRA Project

Dear colleagues,
 
We would like to inform you about three open positions within our project "The ULtimate fate of TuRbulence from space to laboratory plAsmas (ULTRA)", recently funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (PRIN 2022 call). Within this project, we will investigate turbulence and energy transfer and dissipation in plasmas by exploiting in-situ space observations and numerical simulations of space and laboratory plasmas.

 
The project will last for two years and our team is composed of three units: National Research Council of Italy (CNR, PI), Italian Space Agency (ASI), and University of Calabria (UNICAL). Each unit will hire a postdoctoral researcher for one year. In the presence of other fundings, the positions may be further extended. These positions are expected to start in the next Fall.

 
The CNR's postdoc position, mostly devoted to numerical simulations of space plasmas, will be formally proclaimed by the Institute for Plasma Science and Technology in Bari but the postdoc researcher is expected to work in Rome in close contact with the project's PI (O. Pezzi). ASI and UNICAL positions will be based in Rome and Rende (Calabria), respectively. The postdoc at ASI is expected to work on in-situ observations, while the UNICAL postdoc will focus on simulations of laboratory plasmas.
