We look forward to welcoming you to the international workshop *‘Plasma

Physics and Astrophysics up to 2020 and beyond’* in honor of *Pierluigi

Veltri*’s 70th birthday *in Italy at the Università della Calabria on **October

7th – 8th **2019.*



The goal of the workshop is to review the main achievements in the last

five decades and to discuss the future developments in plasma physics, from

laboratory to space and astrophysical plasmas. We will bring together

experimentalists, theorists, and numerical modelers to discuss basic

aspects of the physics of turbulence, reconnection, shocks, kinetic and

nonlinear phenomena, in order to highlight new results and novel

approaches, as well as to exchange ideas among different research branches

of plasma physics.

*You can register at the same webpage* (the deadline for registration

8*th*).

There is the opportunity to give a short informal presentation on Tuesday

afternoon (October 8), so that you can provide a provisional title during

the registration process. Since the time schedule is tight,  presentations

will be limited to 10 minutes. But you are also welcome to just come,

listen and discuss.



Participants are encouraged to submit an article related to their

conference presentations to the Rendiconti Lincei Scienze Fisiche e

Naturali (Springer  https://link.springer.com/journal/12210 ) in the

Classical and Quantum Plasmas Topical Collection. These articles will be

listed as the written, peer-reviewed version of a paper presented at the

Conference *PLASMA PHYSICS AND ASTROPHYSICS UP TO 2020 AND BEYOMD, October

7th -8th 2019* (guest editors F. Pegoraro and F. Valentini).  Submitted

articles will undergo a regular review process.
